Who did not love Deepika's look in Piku? It was such a simple yet classy look that we just couldn't get over with. It is such an easy makeup look to do, especially for young Indian girls. And it is one of the best makeup looks of Deepika Padukone.
This look is best for when you want to give off a traditional vibe in your Western clothes; and it obviously looks perfect for a very simple yet elegant kind of everyday casual Indian makeup look.
We, Indian girls, are blessed with very expressive eyes, and this look would make the eyes stand out to a great extent, making the eyes the focus of the entire look, while the rest of the makeup is kept neutral. This is in general a very earthy and neutral makeup look.
So, here's how you too can own this look as well as Deepika did in the movie Piku!
Start with a BB cream or tinted moisturizer, as the coverage is kept very lightweight in this look, in order to look almost natural. Make sure you get some on your eyelids as well, to neautralize the colour and give a nice base for the eye makeup. If you have dark circles, using concealer would be a good idea.
Use a brown eyeshadow all over your lid, blending it well with a fluffy brush. Line your upper and lower waterlines with kohl, and then take the kohl to line your upper and lower lash lines. Then, take an angled brush and some black eyeshadow, to just soften the kohl and give it a slightly smudged-out look. Finish with mascara on your lashes.
Use a light peach or coral blush. Go for a shade that looks very natural and is devoid of any shimmer.
Now, it looks like she has no lipstick on, but that is not the case. It is just a very natural-looking shade to make sure that the eyes remain the focus. Go for a light brown shade, tinted with a bit of pink to imitate the shade of lips. You can even mix two lipsticks to make this shade.
Do the brows last, after all of your other makeup is done. Well-defined brows are the key to this look. Use brown or black eyeshadow to draw and fill in your brows, depending on the colour of your eyebrows. And lastly, don't forget to add a bindi to finish the best makeup look of Deepika from the movie Piku.
