Process
In a bowl of hot water, mix amla and shikakai powder in specified quantities.

Apply it to your hair. Gently distribute it evenly through your scalp.
Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.

5 drops of mint oil

Process
Burn a piece of shikakai in direct fire. Allow it to heat and then grind it into fine powder.
Mix it with turmeric, neem and mint oil. Add water and whisk into a smooth paste.
Apply it directly on to the wound or cut on the scalp.
Wait for 10 minutes and then rinse it clean.

Shikakai Hair Wash Powder

Reetha in this pack gives lathering effect. Ingredients
1 used green tea bag
2 tablespoons of shikakai powder

Process
Brew a cup of green tea.
Add in the shikakai powder. Allow it to seep in a low flame for about 5 minutes.
Turn off the flame and let the solution cool in room temperature.
Rinse your hair and scalp with this solution. Tie your hair into a loose bun and wrap it under a shower cap.
Wait for about 20 minutes and then rinse it clean.

 

Shikakai Hair Oil

Talking about using shikakai for hair growth, and not include it in our hair oil, how can that be? Olive oil has ample amount of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which when packed with shikakai can take its nutrient quotient a notch up!

½ a cup of olive oil
2 tablespoons of shikakai powder

Process
In a low flame, heat olive oil and shikakai powder.
Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes and then turn down the flame. Let the solution cool.
Transfer the oil into an air-tight container. And let it rest for 3 weeks.
Use the oil to thoroughly massage your scalp and hair.
Let your scalp absorb the therapeutic properties of the oil for an hour or so, and then rinse it with a clarifying shampoo.
