Mix 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and use it as a final rinse after shampooing your hair. Wash off with cold water and repeat at least twice a week.

Rich in antioxidants, green tea is a great remedy for oily skin. Brew a liqueur with water and green tea, strain and cool it completely. Use this for the final rinse after mild shampooing. Towel dry ensuring not to wash off the tea from your hair.

Henna, a deep-conditioner for the hair, is a great natural remedy for oily hair. Soak henna with some tea liqueur overnight and apply the mixture next morning on the scalp and hair. Leave it on for 2-3 hours and wash away with a mild shampoo.

Take 2 egg yolks, beat well, add in a few drops of lemon juice and mix well. Apply this on the wet scalp, leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse it off thoroughly. Use this 2-3 times in a week to get rid of oily hair.

Sprinkle some table salt on your scalp, wet your hands and start massaging gently for about 10 minutes. Now rinse off, this helps remove excess oil from your scalp.

Rosemary is an excellent home remedy for oily scalp, provided you use it in the right proportion. Mix quarter teaspoon of rosemary oil with 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil and massage this evenly all over your scalp for at least ten minutes.

Applying snake gourd juice all over the scalp also reduces excess oil from the scalp. It is the best ingredient you can try to get rid of oily scalp.
