Do you often feel the need to itch your scalp? Does the condition worsen every time you scratch that itch? Then, it is time to take a good close look at your scalp and determine whether it is just flaky, dry skin that is causing the itch or if it is something serious.
From dandruff, to ringworms and bacterial infection to autoimmune conditions, there are quite a few things that can trigger the itch. Fortunately, no matter how severe the issue is, it can be treated with this homemade aloe vera paste for dry scalp.
This natural salve to get rid of itchy scalp contains two main ingredients - tea tree oil and aloe vera. Other than that, secondary ingredients include coconut oil and lemon juice.

The primary ingredient in this DIY salve for itchy scalp - tea tree oil - contains major anti-bacterial properties, which work to clean scalp of flaky dandruff, unclog pores and kill any infection-causing bacteria.
Aloe vera has healthy amounts of antioxidants that soothe inflammation, heal damaged skin and restore natural moisture balance of the scalp.
Lemon juice has powerful doses of citric acid that breaks down the yeast buildup on the scalp. Coconut oil has both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties in just the right proportion, which help to stimulate blood flow, reduce scalp infection and free up hair follicles.
