Does Vinegar Help To Reduce Dandruff?

Dandruff is a chronic skin condition that affects the scalp. The person who is suffering from this skin condition is often left with a dry, flaky and itchy scalp.

When this skin condition affects the scalp, it tends to worsen during the winter and summer seasons.

And this is because during the winter the scalp produces extra moisture and in the summer the scalp is dry, which makes you want to itch due to the presence of excessive dandruff.

To help reduce and slowly get rid of dandruff, the only solution to the problem would be to rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar.

This powerful ingredient contains natural acidic properties that will disable the production of dandruff in the hair.

Now, though this natural remedy requires time, it is better than those chemically treated shampoos and cures that are available over the counter.

Using apple cider vinegar to reduce dandruff is healthier and safer and, at the same time, it also helps to get rid of the minor hair-related problems that we all suffer from.

So, if you want to get rid of the dandruff in your hair, here is something that you should take a look at:

Vinegar & Mint:

Vinegar & Mint:

Crush a few peppermint leaves and extract the juice from it. Now mix three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with the mint juice. Apply this solution on to the clean hair and allow it to soak in the scalp for 10 minutes before rinsing it. The vinegar will reduce the dandruff and the mint will make your hair smell fresh.

Vinegar & Essential Oil:

Vinegar & Essential Oil:

Essential oil can be mixed with vinegar to help make dry hair soft and smooth. Vinegar can be first applied on to the hair and after rinsing it off with warm water, the essential oil can be lathered into the hair and kept overnight. This process is slow but it works wonders in reducing the dandruff problem.

Vinegar & Curd:

Vinegar & Curd:

Apply vinegar on to your hair and let it soak for about 10 minutes. Rinse the scalp and the strands well with water. After half an hour, apply a curd mask on to the hair and allow it to dry. Rinse well.

Vinegar & Tea Tree Oil:

Vinegar & Tea Tree Oil:

Gently rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar. When the hair is dry, apply the tea tree oil to the scalp and the strands. Comb the hair and allow the oil to dry. After 15 minutes, rinse your hair. The oil will make your hair shine and look naturally beautiful.

Vinegar & Olive Oil:

Vinegar & Olive Oil:

Instead of coconut oil, it is safe to use olive oil, as the latter provides better nourishment to your locks. After applying the oil gently, rinse the hair with some warm water and when dry, rinse your hair again with apple cider vinegar. Repeat this process twice in a month to reduce the production of dandruff.

Vinegar & Fenugreek:

Vinegar & Fenugreek:

Fenugreek leaves are crushed and added to a cup of apple cider vinegar. The solution is then massaged on to the hair and is allowed to soak in the scalp for about 10 minutes. The hair is then rinsed with plain warm water.

Vinegar & Honey:

Vinegar & Honey:

Apply a thin coat of honey on to the scalp of your hair. Rinse it off with warm water and the next day, rinse your hair with some apple cider vinegar. Since both of these ingredients have bleaching properties, make sure you mix the vinegar with water before rinsing your hair.
