Indian gooseberry, or amla, can not just stop hair fall, but literally transform your tresses, adding a nice shine, smoothness and volume to it.
Amla contains 5 times more vitamin C than any vegetable or fruit you can get your hands on. And it is this vitamin C that boosts collagen level of your hair, improves elasticity, which in turn prevents hair from breaking.
Not just that, amla happens to be a good source of antioxidants, which cleanses the scalp of buildup, removes flaky dandruff, boosts blood flow, which in turn promotes the regeneration of new hair follicles.
Reality check. No doubt, topical application of amla has proven to show considerable improvement in hair loss. However, to really see a visible improvement in hair growth, you need to infuse its properties directly into your bloodstream by consuming 1 steamed amla every day.
Other than that, here are some homemade amla hair mask recipes that will work great in your hair care regimen.
