7 Simple DIY Remedies To Cure Smelly Feet
Summer has arrived in all its glory and has brought a bunch of skin problems with it, especially sweating.

Sweat teamed with the bacteria can cause the awful smell, otherwise known as Bromhidrosis in medical terms.

1. Baking Soda And Lemon:
It goes without saying that baking soda is a true miracle worker. And teamed with a natural astringent, such as lemon, it can do wonders in treating that awful foot odour. The process is rather simple. Just add 1/4th cup of baking soda in 8-10 cups of tepid water. Squeeze a fresh lemon in it. Then soak your feet in it for about 15-20 minutes. Do this 3-4 times in a week to get rid of that reek!
2. Soak In Vinegar:
Vinegar is known for its acidic nature and is crucial for killing the bacteria, responsible for the foot odour. All you need is 1/2 a cup of vinegar mixed with eight cups of hot water. Soak your feet in it for about 20-25 minutes. To get rid of that acidic smell of the vinegar, you can wash it with soap. But just in case, the smell of vinegar irks you, you could make use of apple cider vinegar.
3. Lavender Oil:
Lavender essential oil is known for its fragrance and its healing abilities. Just add a few drops of lavender oil in tepid water, soak your feet in it for 15-20 minutes. If you do this daily, you will bid adieu to foot odour, forever.
4. Alum Powder:
Easily found in the spice section of any grocery store, alum powder is used for treating many skin problems. Just make a solution by mixing 1 teaspoon of alum powder in 1 cup of lukewarm water. Pour this solution on your feet and let it stay for 15-20 minutes. Do this every day for better results.
5. Isopropyl Alcohol And Sugar Scrub:
This is one of the most popular home remedies of all time. You will need to mix 1 part isopropyl alcohol, 8-9 parts of sugar and 5 parts of water. Apply this mixture on your feet and then scrub gently for 10-15 minutes. Scrub your feet, three times in a week, for noticeable results.
6. Kosher Salt And Water Soak:
The benefits of exfoliating are universally known. And one of the easiest ways of exfoliating your feet is by soaking them in Kosher salt water. Add 1 cup of salt in 10-12 cups of water. Soak your feet in it for 20-25 minutes. Exfoliate your feet daily by soaking in this mixture and your feet will stop stinking for a long time.
7. Oatmeal Scrub:
Oatmeal acts as a powerful exfoliating agent in getting rid of the foot odour. Add two teaspoons of oatmeal to a cup of warm water. Rub it gently on your feet and massage for 15-20 minutes in a circular motion. Repeat this treatment 3-4 times in a week for soft and odourless feet.
