Home Remedies To Treat Stinky Feet!
Get rid of foot odour permanently with these home remedies!
Technically known as bromhidrosis, stinky feet can lead to embarrassing situations in a person's life. The foul odour from your feet does not get evaporated even after you wear shoes and socks or wash your legs multiple times.
For people who deal with stinky feet, they have been restless about this situation, as no remedy can seem to cure the foul smell released from their body part.
If you want to treat this problem and give it a last try, check out for some easy and effective home remedies to treat stinky feet.
1. Vinegar
Vinegar helps to kill the bacteria on the feet, thus avoiding the release of the foul smell from the feet. Using vinegar helps to create an acidic environment on the feet, which does not allow bacteria to thrive in there. Take one cup of vinegar and mix it with half a bucket filled with hot water. Now soak your feet in this water for 10-15 minutes and wash thoroughly with soap to get rid of the vinegar smell.
2. Baking Soda
Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate, is another cheap and best remedy to treat stinky feet. Take some baking soda and add it to a bucket filled with lukewarm water. Now, soak your feet in this mixture and wait for 15-20 minutes. Remove your feet and pat dry. You should also sprinkle some baking soda on the shoes and socks before wearing them.
3. Black Tea
Due to tannic acid present in black tea, it plays a major role in eliminating the foul smell released from feet. Black tea helps to reduce the pore size on the feet, which does not allow the sweat to be released easily. Boil two bags of black tea in water and use the leftover water. Soak your feet for some time in the lukewarm water and wait for sometime. Repeat doing this every day to treat the problem completely.
4. Epsom Salt
Epsom salt is a magical salt which helps to minimise the smell coming from feet and also avoids the release of excess sweat. Due to properties found in Epsom salt, it helps to fight against infections on the feet and also neutralises the odour. Take a bucket filled with lukewarm water and add two spoons of Epsom salt to it. Now, soak your feet in this mixture for 15 minutes and pat dry. Do this regularly to overcome the problem as soon as possible.
5. Lavender Oil
Using lavender oil is an effective remedy to treat stinky feet. It not only kills the bacteria on the feet, but also contains antifungal properties that help to treat the foot odour. Put a few drops of lavender oil in the warm water and soak your feet for some time. Do this twice a day to enjoy healthy feet.
6. Sugar Scrub
Sugar scrub is generally used to remove dead skin, but one of the biggest advantages of using sugar scrub is that it can be used to eliminate foot odour, which contributes to smelly feet.
Regular use of sugar scrub can help to remove the dead cells accumulated on the feet and prevent the formation of calluses. Take sugar, water and isopropyl alcohol in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients together and make sure that the amount of sugar is more than water to get a thick paste. Now scrub your feet with this mixture for five to ten minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. This will help to remove the dead cells on the skin and also kill the bacteria that lead to the bad smell.
7. Ginger Root
Ginger root is an ultimate solution to treat stinky feet, as it inhibits the growth of bacteria and also removes the toxins from the body. Take a medium size of ginger root and leave it in a cup of hot water. Leave the ginger root for 15-20 minutes and collect the water with the help of a strainer. Now, massage your leg with this liquid for two to three times in a day. Repeat the process daily.
