Tanning is a problem of all seasons, be it summer or winter. Using a sunscreen helps to an extent, but is there actually a foolproof sunscreen available in the market yet? Not to my knowledge!
If there is one, do let me know in the comment section below. I'd love to have a sunscreen that actually works long term. Don't we all wish for the same, ladies?
Tanning is really annoying! And it happens no matter what we do. Apart from looking bad, it could cause a certain amount of pain, as it can lead to itchy, flaky, burning sensations on the skin.
Imagine, you buy a foundation that is perfect for your skin tone. One week later, you see that the foundation is too light for your skin tone.
Has this ever happened with you? If yes, you must be looking for a quick-fix to tanning problems, right? And hence starts the endless cycle of applying chemicals to get rid of the tan.
Using chemicals is not a good idea, as this can ruin the skin further in the long run. Therefore, dear readers, here is an easy home remedy that you can try to treat skin tan.
You could prepare this with ingredients that can be found easily in your kitchen and refrigerator all year round.
Now, it may not have immediate effects, but it definitely works if one is just a little bit patient.
For this DIY anti-tan pack, you'll need,
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 2-4 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 cup of tomato pulp
Method & Application:
The ingredients actually make it sound like I'm making a curry or something; but I promise, it's the best anti-tan pack out there. So, first you'll have to add in the tomato pulp to the yogurt in a bowl.
Tomato is a natural toner that can be used for shrinking pores, while yogurt has antibacterial properties and also acts as a moisturiser. Add the lemon juice next.
Lemon is known to be a perfect natural bleaching agent. It is often used for a tan removal purposes and for natural fairness. Mix the ingredients well and apply the mixture on to a clean face that is free of all makeup or lotions.
The pack may itch a little bit in the beginning, due to the lemon's bleaching effect, but it should go away in a while.
Then, wash your face with cold water after a maximum of 30 minutes.
To avoid irritation and soothe the skin, put some aloe vera gel on the face after washing it. This should cool down the skin to a great extent.
That's the DIY anti-tan pack! I hope this helps. Keep reading this space for more easy beauty tips!
