Dental health is something that we overlook most of the time. It is important to realize that nutrition and dental health are interconnected. The intake of healthy food for proper teething should start from childhood. In children, proper nutrition can help in the growth of healthy teeth.
In an adult, what we eat will play an important role in the dental health maintenance. When you do not take care of your teeth, you may experience many associated drastic effects. This will include tooth decay, gum disease and infections.
For all these reasons, foods for healthy teeth are essentially important. There are a lot of nutrients that are necessary for the dental health. Proteins, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, antioxidants, folate, iron, Vitamin A, C and D – all these are required for healthy teeth and gums.
Healthy foods for teeth will include everyday foods, especially natural foods. At the same time, it is important to avoid taking any canned foods or processed foods. Also, stay away from carbonated drinks, which will otherwise result in chronic teeth problems in long term.

The bacteria in these fermented foods will help in suppressing the growth of the pathogens in the oral cavity. This will help with the plaque. There are many foods that are rich in probiotics like yogurt.
Lean Protein
Protein is necessary for the tooth structure, connective tissue development and the immune function of the teeth. Chicken, beef, eggs and other sources of protein, are good for the teeth.
Fresh Vegetables
Healthy foods for teeth will surely include fresh vegetable. This is the best way to get all the nutrients in the most natural form. This will help in keeping good oral health, especially by improving immunity.
Cranberries
There are many other plant foods that are rich in anthocyanins. This will include blueberries, red cabbage, eggplant peel and raspberries. This is sure to improve the dental health.

Fluoride
Fluoride is an important mineral which will prevent the decalcification of the body. Also, fluoride will help in absorbing the calcium effectively.
