When it comes to grooming and looking smart, guys are on the mark to make themselves look gorgeous! Apart from those funny myths, wives and girlfriends comes out with, it is now time to debunk these false myths and get real when it comes to looking your best.

Here are some of the myths which are overpowering the life of a man.

1.Blackheads- Have you heard your wife telling you, if you do not wash your face after a hard day's work, you will end up getting those nasty blackheads on your face? This is one common grooming myth, that men believe in when it comes to taking accurate measure in treating skin care. The cause of blackheads is due to excessive oils on the face which get accumulated in the sebaceous gland duct! It is advisable though, to cleanse your face at regular intervals during the day with a gentle face wash. There are a number of ways to get rid of blackheads, here are some simple home remedies for removing blackheads.

2.Dental Care – It is important for you to go on regular dental checkups. Dental care is essential as you age for better health. When it comes to grooming myths in relation to dental care, it is said that one should brush their teeth after every meal. This is completely ridiculous as one would feel sick in the stomach. However, it is vital if you gargle your mouth after a meal to remove food particles in between the teeth that can cause bad breath and tooth decay too.

3.Gray Hair – It is said the main reason behind that silver hair on your head is due to stress. This grooming myth is common in today's men and most of them are trying their level best to get their pressure under control, which in a way is good for health! According to researchers, they say that there are other factors which cause the hair to grey , which could be the environment change ( pollution), the diet you follow, heredity and many more.

4.Hair Loss – Other than greying, hair loss for men is yet another fear. A common grooming myth that most men blindly follow is to wear on a scarf of a handkerchief before you wear on a helmet. It is said that this precaution helps in hair loss. Youngsters too avoid hats and caps since it is said that they cause hair loss. You should know that there are valid reasons for hair loss, other than this!

5.Shaving – A common myth is that when you shave, the hair growth is thicker and above all it is faster. It is believed that hair growth depends on your hormones and the diet you follow. There are some rules you should follow when it comes to shaving. Here are some effective ways on how you can shave!
